第一課﹕真誠對話 – 課後分享

A church is like a long term care hospital where peoples will be taken care of and be nourished there for a considered period of time, or even till the end of their life.

Hospital is the place where sick peoples will seek for healing. Church is the healing place for peoples that are spiritually sick.

A hospital has the CEO as the leader while Jesus is the head of church. Both have many peoples including the board of directors working or serving for the organization.

A hospital has its strategic plan with visions, missions and goals, but many peoples working in a hospital may not understanding or aware of them. The same may be true for a church.

A church is not like (or should not like) an Emergency Department where many peoples will go in and out and has high turn over rate. It is equipped to take care of acute problems only with no long term plan to take care of sick peoples. In an Emergency Department, very sick people may get most of the attention, while other peoples that look apparently well may be neglected.

這是我所察覺的：

• 教會仿似是神的天國，但又看似是世界
• 教會仿似合一，但又看似分裂
• 教會仿似滿有希望，但又看似很多失望
• 教會仿似有安寧，但又看似很忙碌
• 教會仿似充滿愛，但又看似有憎恨
• 教會仿似滿有接納、包容，但又看似有排斥
• 教會仿似只有祈禱，但又看似沒人祈禱

這是我聽回來的：

• 教會仿似一間公司需要計劃、負責任、有效率、有成果
• 教會裡面的多數是好人
• 教會有很多活動
• 教會給人心靈有寄託

每天都有不同族裔的人來我所工作的醫療中心，他們因病自己前來或被推介而來尋求醫治，又或作定期檢查以確保身體健康。我們的醫生和其他配搭的工作人員就會歇力按他們的需要而給予適切的幫助。無論是病人、醫生或其他的工作人員都擁有一個共同目標就是幫助病人追求健康。但細心地想一想，如果這所醫療中心沒有了人，它就祇是一所死的健築物，發揮不了它的功用。

教會也恍若如此，但我們的主耶穌基督卻給人更高層次的醫治---心靈的滿足、喜樂和平安。祂給我們永遠的健康，使我們不再有死亡，也不再有悲哀、哭號和疼痛。

願與弟兄姊妹互勉，竭力配搭作主的工。

教會彷似一個有組織社團，現實的有組織社團，他們會篤信關二哥（我地信耶穌），他們會千方百計將他們的「貨物」賣出去(我地盡力傳福音...理想地），他們會以收？多、馬仔多為榮（我地D教會何常唔係總是計算人數），佢地D搵到錢、收到數會上繳呀公（我地就十一奉獻... 理想地，可惜唔係個個做得到,死喇社團仲叻D添）；好多仔以為入到社團、跟咗大佬就好叻，以此為榮，仲好自豪添（如果個個基督徒都能以信主自豪，那多好呢！）.... 哈哈....如果我們渴求神的話語猶如「毒癮」般 ...........

Mmmmmmmmh.....玩下咋！:p

A church is like a community centre. People go there for their individual purposes. They do things for that they enjoy to do, share things that they are willing to share, talk whatever they want to talk, help others whom they like to help, make friends whom they want to connect.
But a church should not be just a social community. People going there should not only focus on themselves, i.e. self-centered (they want, they like, they enjoy).

教會仿似什麼?

教會仿似一群有宗教信仰的人所聚集的地方。他們在那裡崇拜他們的神及進行宗教活動。

教會仿似是一個導人向善的地方。

教會仿似是一個可以找到愛與幫助的地方。

教會仿似是一個可以作心靈寄托的地方。

A church is like a mirror.  If one cares to look, it reflects the values and effectiveness of it's leaders, workers and members, just like any organization.

Of course, it's not actually a mirror.  Also, it shouldn't be a mere organization.

What it is, and what it is not, that's what we hope to learn.

A church is like a restaurant.  Customers come to get what they want (food, spiritual food) and they pay a price for the service and thus benefits the restaurant in return (donations and volunteer to work). And people typically choose the restaurant to their likings. Successful restaurants may grow to brand-name restaurant (mega-church).

Of course, it's not actually a restaurant and it shouldn't be like a restaurant.
