Genesis 15:6 (NIV)
Abram believed the LORD,
and he credited it to him as righteousness.
If I want to be a disciple, I shall believe in God. It is not a
registration condition to be fulfilled but a right relationship with God by
trusting Him. It is what God considers right from his perspective. It is what
matter.

Exodus 34:5-7 (NLT)
Then the LORD came down in a cloud and stood there
with him; and he called out his own name, Yahweh. The LORD passed in front of Moses, calling out,
“Yahweh![b] The LORD!
The God of compassion and mercy!
I am slow to anger
and filled with unfailing love and
faithfulness.
I lavish unfailing love to a thousand
generations.[c]
I forgive iniquity, rebellion, and
sin.
But I do not excuse the guilty.
I lay the sins of the parents upon
their children and grandchildren;
the entire family is affected—
even children in the third and
fourth generations.”
The Lord revealed
himself who He is. His name is “Yahweh” which means compassion and mercy. He
kept on elaborate his character. Do I, as his disciple, know Him as what he
declared? Do I trust Him the way it should be if I know who He is?

Exodus
4:10-13 (NLT)
But Moses pleaded with the LORD, “O Lord, I’m not very good with words.
I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get
tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.”
Then the LORD asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides
whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see?
Is it not I, the LORD? Now go! I will be with you as you speak, and I will
instruct you in what to say.”
But Moses again pleaded, “Lord, please! Send anyone else.”
Is it a familiar
picture? As a disciple, I know
what I have to do and I also know my weakness. There are so many uncontrollable
factors existing that make me feeling weak. I lose my confidence! I forget who my Lord is.
