大使命與我的生活何干？

"Great Mission" has a close relationship with me in my daily life:

1.) At Home

     My 2 sons are not going to Church now. I think if I can act like Jesus at home, I can affect them to have some incentive to go back to Church again.  Moreover, I often pray for them to accept Jesus in their hearts.

2.) At Work

     As I am teaching Cantonese classes on Saturday, I make use of some DVDs borrowed from Church as my teaching materials.  It's because I want to plant some seeds in the hearts of my students who are in high school now.

3.) At other places

     As a Christian, I always remind myself to treat the known & unknown persons with "Love".  In addition, I make use of some opportunity to invite the unbelievers to my Church.

     In a word, I know Jesus loves me so much that I need to do something for Him: To carry out His "Great Mission".  Furthermore, I want to act like Him in order to glorify Him.

大使命與我的生活何干？

唔知點解成個星期個腦稔住份功課都是「榮耀神與我生活何干?」.... 原來榮耀神同大使命好有關係！

就從「榮耀神」講起，什麼是榮耀神呢？

話說有兩兄弟，哥哥溫文有禮，做事認真，對人誠懇，無論學業、運動、音樂、美術....樣樣皆能而且出色。親朋戚友甚為讃嘗。相反弟弟是一個𨂃𨂃跳跳、甩甩漏漏、求求其其、愛玩愛笑、不折不扣的玩皮仔。

有一天，哥哥對媽媽投訴，他說細佬常常令他在朋友面前尶尬，弟弟的吵吵鬧鬧、甩甩漏漏令他在朋友面前感到難堪，他要求媽媽叫弟弟不要常常跟著他。相反，弟弟很想他的朋友知道他有一個多麼棒的哥哥，只要有人稱讚哥哥，他就總會挺起身子，讓別人知道他是哥哥的弟弟。

哥哥弟弟有著不同的感受與反應。我們究竟是哥哥還是弟弟呢？那麼天父見到我們的生命，祂會有著誰的感受呢？

我們的行事為人，有沒有讓祂丟臉呢？有沒有失禮衪呢？還是我們會讓祂因著我們的生命而自豪、讓祂有面子呢？

保羅在哥林多前書6:20説：「因為你們是重價買來的，所以要在你們的身子上榮耀神。」我們的生命要榮耀神，我們得要先清楚神眼中的價值。亦要清楚怎樣才可以令祂歡喜快樂。

主耶穌在大使命中，叫我們去使萬民作祂的門徒。英文係「make disciples」-How to make？我們要用我們的生命去make，並不是單用我們張咀去傳、去講。（得個講，有何說服力呢？）我們是要用我們的生命去傳、去make。

別人又怎樣見到我們的生命呢？當然是在生活上。保羅在林前6:20說：「因為你們是重價買來的，所以要在你們的身子上榮耀神。」林前10:31說：「你們或吃或喝，無論作什麼，都要為榮耀神而行。」

所以我們的行事為人都不要叫天父失禮，不要丟祂的臉。生命影響生命。生活上事無大小，或吃或喝，總得以神為念。

想起兒時，鄰居有位太太，縱愛打麻雀，每天都聽到她叫喊：「衰仔！唔好掛著玩，比心機做功課。」這樣的媽媽怎能教到一個「唔好掛著玩」的孩子呢！讓我們齊齊從生活做起，一同為大使命努力！

個人的反思：

1，大使命的重㸃：作**好門徒、建立信徒，共耀主名

**好的標準----良善及忠心的僕人

2，大使命的禾場是從家開始，延伸至親友，隣舍及逺方

3，傳福音的對象及地域：

同輩：兄弟姊妹及其配偶共約21人( 美、加、香港，澳洲）

姻親：2人（多倫多）

李氏家族的第二代、第三代共約25 対年輕夫妻及10個小孩 （加，美，香港，澳洲）

隣舍：Burlington,

老友 :大多倫多，中國大陸

舊同學，舊同事，舊學生: 美,加,澳紐，香港

4，傳播福音的途經：

見證分享及紧密的溝通( 直接的接觸或 透過電話，Facebook, WeChat , WhatsApp等工具保持互動，互勉）。

具體行動的照顧及服事。

The Great Commission and me!?

"There is no way we can reach our destination if we don't know where we are now."  Thus, a good question indeed.

Also, a brave question too!  Most Christians evade thinking or reflecting on this question.  An author pointed out that most churches don't do the Great Commission at all and he exclaimed that The Great Commission had turned into The Great Omission.

Nevertheless, a brave question deserves a brave personal answer.

Similar to the thinking of Anita Leung and presumably of most people , the key ingredient of the Commission is "being a disciple" and "making disciples".  I have the following reflection.

Even though I have the intention to "obey everything that Christ has commanded"  on my daily life, I find myself easily losing focus of that intention.  Only occasionally and in some situations, when I managed to maintain a high level of awareness, could I give myself a "Pass".  But I couldn't do that consistently enough.  By my own standard, I "Fail" to be called a disciple.

On the other hand, I did have a history of meeting a mentor on a weekly and one-to-one basis.  That went on for 4 years, during which I also met up with a couple of protégés with an aim and some strategies to make them disciples.  Presently, I'm not doing that anymore.  In other words, I quitted from being a disciple-maker.

In a few words, The Great Commission is not much related with my life now.

「大使命」與我的生活何干？

根據馬太廿十八章，基督吩咐所有信祂的人不單要自已作門徒，也命令我們作主門徒的也同時要幫助我們週圍的人們去作主的門徒。作門徒是一個過程，有點像上樓梯，究竟我們各自的作門徒過程裡，是緩慢前進，是齊步向前，或是沿地踏步？

究竟我們有否幫助在我們身旁已信主的人成為門徒，或祇是志同道合的普通朋友。這些都影響我們是否真正在參與大使命。
